We often think of knowledge as information that exists around us, outside of us, waiting to be discovered. Sometimes we try to learn something only to be frustrated and conclude we just don't get it. Again, the words reflect the idea that the knowledge sits somewhere out there and we need to 'get it'. But knowledge is the information that exists around us connecting with the information that exists within us.

Buried deep within us all is an incorruptible essential soul that informs us of our own spirituality in its very humble and subtle ways. It can feel like the calm we feel with a slow and steady heartbeat or the unexplainable rage that can occur in an instant when we hear of horrors in the world. Whether we understand it, can put words to describe it or trust it is secondary to the challenge of recognizing it. We are all spiritual and we are all unique.

From the moment we are conceived we begin a journey of forward growth that we can't begin to fathom. We cannot stop it from happening but we can impede it or even stifle it if we are afraid of where it may take us. Growth can be frightening, but at the same time it is uniquely exhilarating. Asking new questions in our lives is a beautiful moment of growth. The answers should only prompt new questions.
